Program Description

Biopharma quality will introduce you to the biopharmaceutical industry where you will gain an understanding of laboratory equipment and what manufacturing a biopharma product entails in the first year. In the second year the program will focus on laboratory techniques used in quality analysis of pharmaceutical products, processes and quality procedures.

We produce highly qualified graduates with developed laboratory skills and an understanding of how to work in a regulated environment.  Graduates will understand the role of documentation in the regulated workplace, have an appreciation of data integrity and attention to detail that will allow them to thrive in the life sciences.

A biopharma technician works in the quality control or quality assurance department. In these roles, a technician could be responsible for ensuring the products being produced are consistent, meeting specific requirements and are at company standards. They could also be responsible for inspecting and monitoring materials throughout the production process, ensuring that FDA (Food and Drug Administration) requirements are being met consistently.
